Gratitude

Gratitude

Gratitude and success going hand in hand. Without gratitude you can’t be successful through the creative method.

As I was driving to work this morning I was listening to the The session on Gratitude from The  Science of Getting Rich with Michael Beckwith, Bob Proctor and Jack Cransfield. So I thought I would share with you some points.

Gratitude is being thankful for all the good in your live. The good from the past, the good you are currently receiving and the good that you you know is still on its way to you.

Gratitude hooks us up (draws us closer) with the infinite source of supply or the universe. So the more we are grateful for the more we will be given to be grateful for. Now isn’t that awesome!

The grateful mind fixes on the best, therefore it will become the best

Gratitude alone can keep you looking to the infinite and stop you thinking that the supply is limited and to think that would be fatal to your hopes. Most people think that there is a limited supply and therefore have to complete to get what they want, when in actual what there is an abundant supply and there fore enough for everyone to be wealthy.

There is always a reason to be grateful. If you are reading this you will have more to be grateful for than millions of people.

  • Yon have access to the internet
  • You can read
  • You will have food and cloths
  • You have clean water to drink
  • You have friends
  • You have a whole lot more than many people in the world today

I am grateful for:-

  • Digital  technology, computers, internet etc so I am share with you my thoghts and ideas.
  • That I live in a country of abundance
  • I have plenty of food and clothes to wear
  • I have everything I need.
  • I am free
  • my friends and family
  • the warm bed to sleep in.
  • The the infrastructure(roads, water, power, shops, hospitals, schools, police fire brigade, the transport system)
  • my internet friend and mastermind group

5 Advantages Of A Mastermind

You may be wondering what a mastermind is.

The term mastermind was made popular by Napoleon Hill in his book Think And Grow Rich. He defines a Mastermind as “The coordination of knowledge and effort in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

Businesspeople in a meeting

It is an interesting thing in that when you have a group of people working together the ideas the come forward are way more amazing than the ideas you would expect from any of the individuals separately. As Napoleon Hill puts it “No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind.”

I’ve also heard it said when people come together in a mastermind with a definite purpose/goal it’s like connecting to the energy of the universe. Where anything is possible.

Here are 5 Advantages Of A Mastermind

  1. Personal Growth. This is achieved in two ways. You learn from others in the group and they push you to achieve more. And although often you join for what you can get out of it. By sharing and contributing to the group you grow in confidence and help other grow as well.
  2. Support. Because you are all working together with the same purpose/goal you don’t get the negative attitudes that you find in a lot of environment and the group shares, brainstorms, bounces ideas off each other and supports you.
  3. Different Perspective. Because you come from difference back grounds you see thing differently. Also when you are working on something you sometime miss things because it’s your baby. When you share it with other they can often see things differently and pick up on things you missed
  4. Encouragement. When you are building or running your own business, especially an online business. It can be lonely, overwhelming and stressful and you can feel down and dejected. When you share what you have been doing with the group they will appreciate what you have done a give you encouragement and constructive criticism
  5. Energy. We don’t always have good days, have no energy, or feel like giving up. But other in the group may have had a fabulous day and share their experience and that is often enough to lift your energy.

What To Blog About

What To Blog About

There are heaps of thing that you can blog about that will build a following for you. But lots of people fine it hard to come up with ideas of what to blog about especially when they are first starting to blog.

Well when I was on Facebook the other day I came across a slide share titled “the Ultimate List Of Blog Post ideas

It is amazing the list of what to blog about. Here are some examples:-

  • CROWDSOURCED POST Bring multiple influencers together to answer a single question in short form. When you get 10 influencers to give you 100 words each on a single topic you’ve got a powerful blog post.
  • PROBLEM/SOLUTION POST • Define a problem • Present the solution
  • FAQ POST If you get repeat questions from customers or prospects there is a good chance they are typing these same questions into Google.
  • SERIES POST Look for opportunities to break a topic into a series that can be released each day over the course of a week or every Monday over the course of a month.
  • INTERVIEW POST It’s surprising how willing even the most influential people are to give you an interview—even if you have a small audience.
  • STORY POST Bring multiple influencers together to answer a single question in short form. When you get 10 influencers to give you 100 words each on a single topic you’ve got a powerful blog post.
  • TREND POST Some content creators are able to predict trends as they are happening. If you’re a trendspotter, create content on your blog that rides that trend as it becomes popular.
  • ISSUE POST Choose issues that affect your audience and create content about them while they’re still timely and relevant to them.
  • BEST OF POST Create a blog post that pulls together the most popular blog posts you have published over a period of time.
  • DEBATE POST Use your blog to present one side of a debatable argument…or find someone that disagrees with you and present both sides in the same post.

Like, Comment and Share

How much time do you spend on social media each day or week?

If you are anything like me it could be 2-3 hours a day. The question is, though, are you making the most of that time to to help increase your reach and search engine ranking while you are checking out YouTube videos, Facebook post, Twitter tweets etc?

Did you even realise that you that you can improve your reach and ranking while being social on social media?

How can you do this? It is real easy just like, comment and share the videos, posts, tweets, etc.

By doing this you are creating

  • interaction/engagement
  • back-links not just for the the post you like, comment and share but also to your profiles, pages
  • interest in you, your sites, pages etc. People will see them and then check you out.
  • improved rankings as the search engine like interacting.

It really isn’t hard to do either. As you are reading or watching just click the like or +1(on google) type a quick comment and click the share button if you think that it is worth sharing. DONE

I shot a brief video on it

An added bonus is if you like, comment and share. The law of attraction will work with you and people will like, comment and share your posts and videos. Because what you give will come back to you.

Have an amazing day

The Daily Commute

The Daily Commute

Are you like me doing the daily commute to work and back?

Mine isn’t too bad, 38km each way but mostly open road and no traffic hold up like some people may experience. The odd truck doing 90 or a slow driver.

Although this morning I just about parked my car in someone drivers door. They had pulled over to the left (side of the road) to let the traffic past before turning right down a side road.

This was all going fine until the car in front of me pulled in behind them to do the same.

Well they then decided it was a good time to make the turn right in front of me. I hit the pick and they zoomed away narrowly avoiding having my bumper, bonnet, and engine planted in the side of there door. Whew that was close.

Any way that is not what I wanted to talk about to day.

What I want to talk about is. What do you listen to on your daily commute?

  • The radio? Some drive time show where they talk a lot of rubbish and all about the negative stuff that’s happening round the country/world?
  • Your favorite music? And sing along to the amusement of other commuters in the traffic
  • Or Like me Educate/motivate yourself in the otherwise wasted time you sit in your car each day.

What do you listen to on your daily commute? Let me know in the comment below

I listen to speaker like Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, Jack Cransfield, Micheal Beckworth. Listening them talk about improving the mind and the way you think. I find it helps me stay positive when surrounded by negative people. In fact it’s quite interesting that it does work. I have had a couple of the guys I work with say “It good having you here it make thing better” and “Why are you always so happy and don’t stress”

Simple answer “You become what you think about” And because I start day with my daily commute listening to positive stuff biulding a positive attitude I have a much happier day.

Here is one the I have been listening to lately. “The Strangest Secret In The World”

This is Earle Nightingale. And it was the first non music LP to sell over a million copies. That was back in the 1950. But the message is still good today. Feel free to share this with those that may need to improve their lives

I hope enjoy this and leave a comment below

Have a wonderful day

Blogging
Do you have a blog?
What is the purpose of your blog?
How often do you post on your blog?
I will assume that you do have a blog. If you don’t then there is no reason for you to continue to read this blog post
The purpose of blogging
There could be a number of reason for having a blog

  • To share information on things or topics that you are passionate or interested in.
  • To establish yourself as an authority in a area/subject(someone who knows a lot about what they are talking about).
  • to create a following or maybe you just like to write and share ideas

(Hey put the reason you blog in the comments below because I’m interested in your reason)

How often do you post a blog?
Are you like me? I have been inconsistent and erratic which is probably why I don’t get many visitors to my site. One of thew reasons is because I don’t like writing and it can take me four or more hours to write and post a blog. But there are alturnative to writing which I will cover in an upcoming blog (so stay turned)
When blogging you should be consistant with your blogging. In an ideal world you should post daily (well that what my mentor, Stuart Ross, tells me) and is something I’ll be working on.
But if you can’t blog daily decide how often you can blog, ie once a week, three time a week or whatever. Then set a day/s and post the same day/s every week.
That way people who are following you will get to know, expect, and look forward to your blogs.
Another reason is it is good for your search engine (google, yahoo, bing) rankings. This is because you are putting consistant content out there and they like that.

Planning To Fail

I Have Been Planning To Fail

Yes that is correct, you read it right. I have been planning to fail. You are probably thinking “That’s stupid! no one plans to fail”
Well I don’t actually have a plan on how I am going to fail as such. Just like I don’t have a plan of how I am going to succeed. The reasoning behind my statement “I have been planning to fail” is simple. I dare say you have heard the quote “If you fail to plan. You plan to fail” by Benjamin Franklin

So I have failed to make a plan therefore I have been planning to fail.
And it is true

The Winning Attitude

You can choose to have a winning attitude or not

“Everything can be taken from a person but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” Viktor Frankl

Yes people can influence your attitude but it is up to you if they do or not.

There are lots of negitive situation that we come accross in life. If you give in to these situations, you will react and loose. On the other hand if remain objective, you will stop and think about it and respond. This is the winners choice.

There are two sides to every situation negitive and positive. This is one of the laws of the universe. The law of polarity. Everything has an opposite. hot – cold, up – down, inside -outside, negitive -positive etc

Some people have a tendance to be always negitive and these epople seem to always have bad luck and not often succeed, you may be one of then. The reason for this is a person is what they think about all day long. This is another law of the universe. The law of cause and effect(aka the law of attraction) What we think about we attract to us.

Because negitive people think about negitive things all day, they attract negitive results and bad luck. Where as positive people think about positive things and attract positive result and good luck.

It is possible to change from being a negitive person to becoming a positive one

How can we use these laws this to our advantage and develope a positive attitude?

Lets take your job as an example. You spend a good part of your life at work (while most people do) Some bosses are good some are not. Lets say your boss is grumpy, mean, and never appreciate the effort that you put into your job. Every time you encounter your boss he/she never ahs anything good to say. This can bring you down.

Here are a couple of thing for you to thinks about every time you encounter your boss:-

  • Remember this quote “I don’t care what you think or say about me I am a worth while person” by Jack Cransfield.
  • You are blessed with the opportunity to strenghten your ability to maintain a positive attitude in a negative situation

Think about these two things every time you encounter your boss and you will soon start to look forward to these encounter. You will also find that the boss will start to change his attitude as well when he see that you are always positive.

A comment my teacher made to my parents when I was at school. She said “It’s is hard to tell Robbie off because he is always smiling”

Something else I often do on a Monday morning when I get into work. I jump in the air with my arms raised above my head and yell “Yay hey it’s Monday, five day till the weekend” It’s start my Monday off on a positive note. It is also interesting to see how my work mate react.

Tips For Video Posting

I have seen lately quite a number of people starting to get into shooting and posting a video a day on YouTube, for 90 days. A 90 day video challenge
This is a really good idea, as it get you over the fear of being in front of a camera, builds a habbit and also gives you consistant new material/content on your channel
You can also post these videos on your blog site giving you content on there as well
I have also noticed that most of them don’t really know what they are doing so I have put together 8 tips to help you look better in the eyes of the search engines and also the viewers.

  1. Purpose I know this 90 day challenge is suppose to push you out of your comfort zone and is therefore of benefit to you. And yes it is nice to count then off. But do you really need to tell everyone “this is day ___ of my ninety day challenge.” My thinking is that you want others to watch your videos and they aren’t at all interested in whether it is day 3 or 54. They want information or entertainment or both
  2.  Introduction. Introduce yourself and give yourself authority. “I am Robbie van’t Wout, founder of ……………….. or CEO of ……….. or something
  3. Keep It Short Keep your videos short and to the point. People don’t like watching long boring videos or you just babbling on for the sake of it.
  4. Call to Action. Give a call to action. Tell the viewer what you want them to do when they have watched the video. click on the link below and vist my web site. Or click like and leave a coment. I will reply to all comment. Or if you liked the video share with your friends.
  5. Clickable link. Put a clickable link in the first line of your description (http://mywebsite.com) or to a landing page or where ever else you want them to go.
  6. Description. Fill in the description box under your video in YouTube. Telling people what your video is about. note more word is better than less. You can have up to 3000 characters, so use them because google/YouTube likes content
  7. Likes Comments.Find other people that are doing the same thing (90 day challenge) connect with them and commit to watching each others videos to the end, like them and leave a comment. It is also a good idea to subscribe to their channel. This is interaction. YouTube/Google like interaction and will therefore rank you higher
  8. Shooting with Smart phone If you are shooting on your smart phone. make sure you hold the camera horizontal (screen wider than high). To get better sound quality you can also get a mic headphone spitter/adaptor to plug in a lapel mic or a special mic designed to plug into your smart phone mic/headphone jack. You can get either on Ebay

I hope these tips have helped. If they have leave a comment or even feel free to share it.

I spent a couple of days crawling round under the trailer.

I shot a video to show what it was like.

So are you like me (some days) sick of work and doing those horrible job, like my milk tanker trailer?
